ANORMA (noun, feminine)
1. Etymology: From Greek “A-” (absence) and Latin “Norma” (rule).
2. Definition: Out of the norm, free of established frameworks, in search of new paths.

ANORMA Films stands for free, off-center, essential cinema. By giving voice to singular voices and building bridges between cultures, we aim to produce works that challenge established narratives and celebrate otherness. Each project is an encounter, an exchange based on listening and trust, where artistic rigor rhymes with humanity. Off the beaten track, ANORMA defends a cinema that is audacious, sincere and meaningful, where each image is an invitation to see differently.

Amina Salem Castaing – Producer

After studying at HEC Montréal, Amina took her first steps in the audiovisual industry at Boogie Studio, a sound post-production studio. In 2009, a trip to Algeria became a return to her roots: she settled there and progressed from assistant to producer.
In 2015, she joined Bang Bang Réalisation before co-founding Alpha Tango, where she oversees executive production and produces international award-winning films, whether short, feature, documentary or fiction.
Today, driven by a desire for exploration and openness, she joins ANORMA Films, based in Occitanie, a region she is particularly fond of, to pursue this cinematic adventure with an ever more daring and committed eye.

Thomas Castaing – Director / Creative Producer

Coming from a computer graphics background, where he forged his sense of composition and detail, Thomas slipped naturally into directing. After starting out in Montreal, he moved to Algeria in 2009, where he has produced over two hundred advertising films.
In 2021, he co-founded Alpha Tango, a company based in Algiers, which has produced documentaries and dramas selected at major festivals including Mostra de Venise, TIFF, IDFA and Clermont-Ferrand.
In 2022, he co-directs two episodes of the documentary series Fascinant Maghreb for Arte, and his music video SLOW, produced for the Canadian band Tanuki, wins five official festival selections.
In 2024, he completed his first short film, VERITAS, supported by the Institut Français d’Alger.
On his return to Toulouse, he founded ANORMA Films, continuing his work as a director while investing himself as a creative producer, putting his expertise at the service of authors to realize singular, audacious and human visions.
